Bibliology from ordination paper take 2

I believe the Bible to be the inerrant word of God [2 Tim 3:16]. This word was breathed into the lives of faithful men so that they could write it down [2 Pet 1:20+21]. The Bible is authoritative in the life of the believer [Matt 4:1-11; 1 Cor 14:37].

The Bible must be understood comparing scripture to Scripture with the guidance of the Holy Spirit [John 16:13; 1 Cor 2:13]. The Bible does not contradict itself. I believe the Bible to be accurate in everything it contains whether theological, historical, or scientific.
I believe the Bible to be a powerful tool in combating the powers and principalities of this world [Eph 6:17]. I believe the Bible to be the tool in which the Holy Spirit preforms surgery upon the believer [Heb 4:12]. I believe the Bible is sufficient for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in the life of the believer [2 Tim 3:16]

I believe that God has revealed himself through other means such as through general revelation in all of creation [Rom 1:19+20]. He also in the past has revealed himself in many different ways: directly speaking to Abraham and Moses [Gen 12:1, 17:1-22, Num 12:6-8], giving dreams to Jacob [Gen 28:12], various ways through the prophets [Heb 1:1], and through Christ Himself [Heb 1:2+3]. I believe that today He speaks to us through His word and that word has been sealed [Rev 22:18+19].
